What is ComicPull?

ComicPull is a site that allows you pre-order comics and graphic novels, either on an individual basis or as part of a subscription (comics only). ComicPull has one of the largest selections of comics and graphic novels available, with a stock list that is updated daily. In addition, we offer our customers the ability to pre-order comics and graphic novels that have not yet been released, but are available for sale up to 3 months prior to release. By securing a pre-order, you are guaranteeing that we will ship your item on its release date.

How do you determine the Canadian Price?

As you may be aware, it has become a challenge to price comics and graphic novels over the past 5 years, as most distributors and publishers sell their items in US dollars. As a result, there has been a substantial amount of fluctuation against the Canadian dollar. As a Canadian company, we're aware of these challenges and continuously review our pricing to ensure that our customers are getting the best possible deal. Currently, all comics and graphic novels are discounted 15% off Cover Price. For example, a comic with a Cover Price of $3.95 CAD, will actually only cost you $3.36 CAD. In addition, we periodically offer additional discounts and specials throughout the year.

When do my comics or GNs get ordered?

If you've ordered Back Issues or Graphic Novels, we place the order for you immediately. If you've placed a Subscription Order for new comics, we place your order on the 26th of the month. Therefore any changes you would like to make to your Pull List needs to be done no later than 11:59pm (PST) on the 25th of the month. All changes made afterwards will only apply to your order for the following month.

How do I change my Pull List? (subscripton service only)

At any time, you can click on the My Pull List tab and you will see all the items in your Pull List along with the next ship date. You can add, remove, and manage your subscriptions this way. Remember that any changes made after the 25th of the month will only impact your order for the following month.

When will I be billed?

For all Back Issues and GNs, your order is billed upon completion of your order in the store. No additional charges will be made to your credit card. For comic subscriptions, you are only billed once your comics are ready to ship . In order to reduce fraud however, and keep our prices as low as possible, we do charge a non-refundable $25/deposit on all INITIAL subscription orders. What that means is on the 26th of every month, we pull a list of all orders that are associated to newly created accounts. All those orders are charged a $25 deposit against the initial order. Of course, if your initial order is less than $25, we will only charge the cost of the initial order. For initial orders, the balance of your order will be billed once your order is ready to ship. Once your first order is fully paid and shipped, and your account is in good standing, all future orders will only be charged to your credit card once only at the time of shipping. It breaks down as such: The lines marked "Subscription" are the order files. This lets you know what's been ordered for you, but you are not charged for it. The price only indicates how much it will be. The "Shipping" lines are what is actually charged to you when the comic has arrived, has been packaged and shipped out to you. So that's the only one you need to worry about in terms of what you've been charged.

Why is there a $1 charge on my card? (subscription service only)

For subscription orders only, we need to verify that a credit card is valid when you create an account. In order to do so, , we pass a pre-authorized transaction on your credit card. As this is only a pre-authorization and not actually a charge, it disappears from your statement within 5-7 days. As a result, you will most probably never see this transaction on your statement. If you do see it, rest assured that it will simply disappear within a few days.

How often are my comics and GNs shipped?

For all Back Issues and in-stock GNs, all items are shipped together. For Pre-Ordered GNs, we can either ship all items together, or as items become available. For subscription comics, we can ship your comics to you on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Customers who choose weekly shipping can expect their orders to ship out every Thursday. Bi-Weekly subscribers will have their orders shipped out on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. All monthly subscriptions will be shipped out on the last Thursday of the month.

How is my order shipped?

We ship all orders via USPS and UPS in the United States, and via Canada Post in Canada. All orders are packaged with the utmost care, and are fully insured against loss or damage.

How do I order Back Issues?

Ordering back issues (both comics and GNs) is actually quite simple. When you find a series that interests you, you’ll notice that beneath the main section, there is a window that lists all available back issue comics. And just below that, you'll see another window with all back issue GNs. Just choose the back issues that you want to order, and it will immediately place them in your shopping cart. *Please Note: In rare cases, Back Issues need to be re-ordered from our distributor which can add 7-21 days to the shipping process. When ordering back issues and graphic novels, items are held until the total order can be filled. If multiple shipments are requested, extra shipping charges may apply.

Can I get Variant Covers and promos?

When it comes to special promos (ie. DC's recent Rings Promo) you will get the bonus item in question along with the comic order you've placed. Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee variant and collectible covers at this time.

Where do you ship?

ComicPull currently ships anywhere in the United States or Canada.

How much do you charge for shipping?

We are proud to offer our Canadian customers the best possible shipping for comics and graphic novels in Canada. Please note that the majority of shipping costs are only calculated on checkout due to the complicated nature of calculating shipping costs in Canada.

Can I request acid-free bags and boards for my comics?

Yes, for only $0.10/comic, we will be happy to package your comics with acid-free bags and board backings. You can add/remove the option from your account at anytime from the Shipping tab in MY ACCOUNT. Unfortunately we are not able to bag/board graphic novels at this time, however we take the utmost care in packaging all items in your order.

What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of the business, we can only accept returns for damaged goods. If you receive any damaged goods, please contact us with 7 days of receipt in order to request a replacement or credit.

What Happens If A Book I Ordered Becomes Unavailable?

Sometimes, books and comics become unavailable at the distributor level. This can be for many reasons, including stock shortages, series cancellations or the issue in question simply being to old to stock. We try and maintain the most current and up to date list of items that are available, but sometimes things beyond our control happen. If you have pre-paid for a book that becomes unavailable, your money will be happily credited to your account. If it is a book that you've subscribed to, don't worry because you aren't charged until the book ships from our facility. If it becomes unavailable and never gets here, you'll never be charged. If a shipment goes missing, it is the responsibility of the user to inform ComicPull within 4 weeks of expected arrival, so that it may be replaced. ComicPull cannot guarantee availability of issues past their release date, so it is imperative that we know about missing items immediately so replacements can be arranged.

When Does My Subscription Start?

Comics and graphic novels are ordered 8-10 weeks in advance of publication. This is an unfortunate side affect of the way comics publishers do business. Therefore, the newest items on ComicPull will be released in 8-10 weeks. This is why when you add a new series to your pull list, your subscription starts approximately 2 issues later. The "If You Subscribe Today" portion of the information box will let you know which issue of the series you will be receiving first. ComicPull will also automatically e-mail you when you first issues begin to arrive. The previous issues will be available on ComicPull as back issues once they have been released.

I Have Been Sent Two Invoices But Haven't Gotten Any Comics Yet. Why?

The reason you have not received any comics yet is probably twofold: 1.) the comics you have signed up for had not been released yet, and 2.) your shipping preference is set to Monthly. When you sign up to receive a series, it takes 8-10 weeks for the series to begin arriving as noted above. Then, in accordance with your monthly shipping selection, we hold the books until the last Wednesday of the month and ship them all to you in one package. You are also only charged upon shipping, with the exception of the first order that is charged as a non-refundable deposit, which is also outlined above. Be sure and check the top portion of all mailings, as "This Is Not A Bill" will be clearly stated on order confirmation e-mails, usually sent out around the 26th of the month.

How Do I Cancel My Account?

If you wish to cancel your account, simply send an e-mail to Info@comicpull.com. One of our customer service agents will respond and make arrangements for any outstanding balances or items on your account, at which time it will be closed. Removing items from your list does not take into account items that have already been ordered. These items will be shipped to you in accordance to your preferences unless we hear from you otherwise.

When Will I Receive My Order?

For Back Issues and GNs, order processing normally takes approximately 5-21 days, depending on whether the item is currently available in our warehouse or if we have to order it from our distributor. For Pre-Ordered GNs, we ship out all orders on the release date indicated on ComicPull (except when a publisher delays a release date) For Subscriptions, as mentioned in the FAQ it takes 8-10 weeks for the series to begin arriving. Then, in accordance with your monthly shipping selection, we hold the books and ship them all in one package. *Please Note: In rare cases, Back Issues may need to be re-ordered from our distributor which can add 7-21 days to the shipping process. When ordering back issues and graphic novels, items are held until the total order can be filled. If multiple shipments are requested, extra shipping charges may apply.

What Happens When I Remove A Series From My Pull List?

When you remove a title from your pull list, that title will no longer be ordered for you. In many cases, there are still issues of this title on order for you that were ordered before the title was removed from your list. These will be billed and shipped to you once they arrive in accordance with your account preferences. no new issues of the series will be ordered for you once the title is removed though.

When Will I Recieve My Order?

For Back Issues and GNs, order processing normally takes approximately 5-21 days, depending on whether the item is currently available in our warehouse or if we have to order it from our distributor. Please keep in mind, when it comes to back issues, we are at the mercy of Diamond Distributors and the publisher in question. We can offer no guarantee that back issues will arrive within the above window. 99% of the time, they arrive in a timely fashion, but there are exceptions. For Pre-Ordered GNs, we ship out all orders on the release date indicated on ComicPull (except when a publisher delays a release date) For Subscriptions, as mentioned in the FAQ it takes 8-10 weeks for the series to begin arriving. Why Are Items Showing Up Twice In My Account?

There is a known issue in Comicpull that we are working to fix that sometimes causes items or invoices to appear twice in the account history. This error does not affect our ordering, shipping, or charging of items and is a display issue only. You will only receive/be charged for one copy of each of your items.

Can I Get a Refund?

Unfortunately, at this time, ComicPull does not offer refunds. As with most books and periodicals, all sales are final. Any issues will be resolved with replacement product or store credit.
